Check Trend

Check Trend

Check prints were big in 2017, it was also spotted at the beginning of the 2018 and it’s here to stay! Because the print is so versatile, it looks great in pants, tops, dresses, bags, basically any items.

As seen on the runway, the check print is still one of the biggest trends. This year, however, brands are going for a more colourful and fun approach.

Here’s how I styled this trend for my petite size.  I opted for a head to toe check outfit, to appear longer and taller.  I also wore high heel boots that were covered by my flair trousers that gave an illusion of longer legs. Finished the look with some bold accessories.

The key to this look is how I made the one-piece dress shorter by adding a thin belt so I can tuck in part of the dress to show more legs thus appeared taller. Heels are a definite safe choice to give myself a bit more height and with great camera angles, I look almost like 170cm tall!

Without the thin belt, I think the dress will down to my knee and it’ll make my legs look super short and probably fatter as well.
